1a Camden High Street  London NW1 7JE

Ceu captivated the world with her self-titled debut album in 2008. Céu earned both Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations, countless press accolades, and chart topping numbers and became the biggest selling Brazilian artist in the UK.

Céu’s fresh electropical sound is emblematic of her hometown Sao Paulo, the intensely urban, forward-looking megalopolis of the tropics, the epicentre of the independent music scene in Brazil and a buzzing hotbed of invention and musical breakthrough.

Support tonight comes from the rather wonderful singer and multi-instrumentalist Curumin (from the same scene as CSS and Telepathique) - who spices up his samba funk with hip hop, dub and psychedelic infusions + Lucas Santtana a Brazilian singer, composer and producer. In his last CD, Sem Nostalgia (YB Music, 2009), he recreates the brazilian guitar tradition, mixing up sounds from the 1950s, like João Gilberto and Dorival Caymmi, with mashups, samples and his own creations.
